Carly started her career in radio as a young single parent working in PR and marketing and worked her way to the top before moving to media buying and marketing for a large online retailer Play.com. It was here that she was given her “springboard” into entrepreneurship by learning the ins and outs of a small start up company with a huge vision. She became known in the Media industry as “Sharky Taylor” because of her no-nonsense negotiation skills and street smart attitude to marketing and business.
After several years with the company, helping it to grow from a small start up to a multi-million pound business, she decided she had gone as far as she could go there and was beginning to feel burned out with the workload and new company changes because of the rapid growth.
She decided to take a huge leap of faith and venture into the unknown. She realized it was time to spend some more time with her son because most of the crucial toddler moments were lost through work and figure out what she really wanted to do with her life. She sold her house with little equity because of clearing a mountain of debt, sold her beloved car and sacrificed a luxurious lifestyle to take it back to the start.
During this time she went on a deep journey of self discovery, dealing with lots emotions, her son’s sudden illness, struggling to eat and pay the rent and bills and nearly got sucked under to the pressure of life. Once out of the “smog” and health restored all around, she re-trained as a Life Coach as well as dabbling in Internet Marketing and home based businesses. Her passion for helping people became a centre focus and it became clear that women were struggling to market and brand themselves online. Something she knew very well after learning from the masters in the industry when she was was flown to the USA to be a contestant on the webs first ever online reality show – “The Next Internet Millionaire”. Around this time that she met Sarah through Social Media & they combined their skills to create Social Diva – helping women entrepreneurs shine online.
Carly has since helped many women entrepreneurs from all over the world to transform their brand and business through online marketing and is recognized globally as a Coach, Mentor, teacher and author.
